Multi-tasking: What else do you do while reading?

Post by sarahmarlowe » 10 Nov 2018, 17:39

I often read while eating lunch, but I also find myself reading while watching television or while sitting in meetings. What about you?

You can spend your time however you want, but you can spend it only once. :eusa-think:

I will sometimes have music or TV play in the background while reading. Although it makes things difficult I can't decide what I want to pay more attention to.

While reading, I mostly try not to be distracted by whatever is going on around me...that's as far as I can go, since I'm a really bad multi-tasker. :/

I train the bird while i’m reading! By keeping one hand in his cage for him to hop onto, and occasionally turning to him and reading out loud so he can get used to my voice and pick up words.

Same. The closest I can get to multi-tasking is drinking a coffee. But even then it's sketchy, because I want to keep my eyes on what I'm reading. If a scene is tense, smoking. I never have problems patting my pets, though. This is the exhausted list of my multi-tasking achievements.

I eat while reading at times, but only when it is an ebook. I don't ever want to spill on a real book. It doesn't wipe off so well.

If the project is simple enough, I like to knit while reading. Double hobby fun time!
