Way to have an insightful argument. I like it.Bookcool123 wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 02:42 Yes. That someone may not be into reading stuffs that you like. But that person, in actuality, could be reading you because your life is a book.

I'm in the exact same situation! Sometimes, when he is interested in a book, I can tell him all about it. And, when I'm curious about a game, he can tell me all about it!Emilauren96 wrote: ↑16 Aug 2018, 03:36 I'm currently dating someone who doesn't like to read but he's perfectly happy for me to spend alone time reading whilst he does his own hobbies such as gaming. I think everyone has their own way of enjoying escapism. We can still talk to each other about any topic and he listens to me vent or gush about a book with no problem and we have similar hobbies and likes that we can talk about and enjoy together also. If I ever wanted to talk in depth about a book or recommend one, then I can talk to my close friends who enjoy reading or even a forum like this so I had never seen it as an issue personally.

What if you can tell them about it. They don't have to read.

Again if he reads from time to time and enjoys a good book, but isn't obsessed as I am,-I am okay with that ! But a person not reading at all ? I just can't imagine falling in love with this person.

Sounds really fun.Morrow wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 08:09 I am engaged and my Fiancee likes to read just nowhere near as much as myself. We also have quite different tastes in book! However, this works quite well as it means that when we read the others books we are reading something we normally wouldn't have even picked up and sometimes we are pleasantly surprised at what we enjoy. We've been doing book swaps which hsa been great fun!

My son is cool with my reading, means he can video game to his heart's content until I drop the book.
