There's a mystery behind words. It's amazing how a group of words stringed together can make you informed, entertained, love, hate, etc. I read because it opens my mind to a world of possibilities.

Stories~ such an insightful little things
No doubt about the joy that they bring

Books always brighten up my day, the message they try to convey. I like to read, its the knowledge that they breed. The emotions that they show, the plots that certainly flow.

Reading is an amazing past time <3

It's interesting how books open up your imagination. The imagery that comes whenever you read a book is without limits and that is why i love reading books. Books tend to channel your creative energy and get you in the mind of the author.

I like to read some things just to get an idea about what it's about. Then there is reading to see if i'm interested. Mostly then I will finish the book. I like the characters that portray something that I would love to do and can't. Go places I can never go.

I like reading because it's like an escape. I or at least my mind is there in the book visualizing what it is the author is saying or what point he or she is trying to make. I have enjoyed reading ever since I was a child in elementary school. Through, reading I can become more knowledge in certain areas or I can live in a fantasy world.

I like reading because it is so much better than watching as a good books takes me to a whole new world of imagination. Besides providing knowledge, reading a book helps me to escape from the real world.

Reading takes me into a whole different world where I can escape. There are so many characters with their own dreams and it feels so real sometimes. Because for you it is real
Just because it's happening inside your head, doesn't mean it isn't real.

Back in college, I studied abroad in China and didn't really spend much time learning how to read Chinese characters. The struggle of not being able to read anything really gave me an appreciation for literacy... not only for being able to read all of the great books we have access to here, but even being able to read simple things like menus and street signs is something I don't take for granted anymore!

Reading to me is an escape from the real world for a while. Getting lost in another place and time for a short while is indeed a lovely way to spend my free time.

A good movie or book makes you see and hear things from someone else’s perspective, a good book can make you think like someone else. It gives you a glimpse inside the head of a character or even the author.

1) To escape. I love being transported to another time or place. I love that feeling of seeing or doing or experiencing something different.

2) To see things from a different perspective. I love a book that makes me think and shows me things from other people's perspectives.
I agree with this post. It certainly helps you escape reality and opens up your imagination.
