I always re-read Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chabosky. I love how I can read it and understand something new every time, be it about the characters or myself!

I usually don't tend to reread books but this year I'm rereading a lot of books from Cornelia funke. Just childhood nostalgia I guess.

There's two. I read For Whom The Bell Tolls twice a year, one every spring, once every fall. I always try to finish it before visiting Key West, which I tend to do at never the best times of year. The lines at the Hemingway House are not as long.

The other, The Shootist. I always keep a copy handy, and one travels with me everywhere away from home. I get something new from it every read, and have been for close to three years.

I have read One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez many times. I love the way the language flows. I really wish I had a better understanding of the Spanish language because I would love to experience the novel in its original form. I should have paid more attention in freshman Spanish class.

When I'm feeling a little down I feel like reading anything from the Star Trek Original Series. Being immersed again in the adventures of the Enterprise and its crew feels like I'm talking to an old friend.

It is great to be able to find a friend in a book! I believe that if more youths in today's society had been reading books, the drug addiction and crime and violence would not be as pronounced as it currently is! Let us encourage someone to read a book including the ones we reread!
