I have made it a point in my life to read as many classic novels that I can get my hands on. I came across Jane Eyre at a library in my mother's hometown. As soon as I read the first chapter, I was captivated. For the first time in a while, I had found a book that I couldn't put down. Charlotte Bronte's writing style is so unique, not to mention the fact that she lived during the 1800,s which made Jane Eyre that much more interesting to me. Definitely a book that does not disappoint.

Its my favourite too. I found it somewhere online for free and I was immersed for three days straight. I loved the ending too and both the bbc series and the movie.

I must confess Jane Eyre is not my personal favorite among the classics. I find it too contrived.

We had to read this in 8th grade. The whole class complained and I loved it and secretly read the whole thing ahead. I thought it was so romantic.

Jane Eyre was a favourite of mine ne when I was in school, but when I read it now, I find Rochester a bit abusive, always tweaking her ears and such like.

I read this book so long ago I can't remember the details. Is this the book where the heroine came back to find her lover who had married a woman with mental issues and couldn't free himself but later she died but he had a fire accident that scarred him and he lost an eye?

Yes, that’s the one. 👍

Aw, I loved it! It made me cry because it was about how bad things happen to people through no fault of theirs. I liked the ending too.

I love Jane Eyre. It's one of those classics that once you read, you never forget. I first read it when I was 15 and until now, it's still one of my favorite classics. It's a real masterpiece!

I really enjoyed reading this book for school! I will probably have to reread it at some point since it's been awhile, but definitely a must read in my opinion!

At first, I didn't get it quietly but after thorough reading and putting my focus on it Jane Eyre made it just right for me!!

One of my favorite books of all time! I adore the romance and mystery of the story. Although Rochester is arguably problematic as a love interest, he's the perfect Byronic hero, and of course Jane is such a forward-thinking female character of her time.

I can't really explain why I enjoy Jane Eyre so much. It is one of my all-time favourites, but as an English major I've read many of the same genre, and still, Jane Eyre holds a special place for me. I've even reread it on occasion, and I still find it enjoyable every time. :)
