This book is written purely for fun. I didnt see any lesson in it, only a story of stinkiness and untidiness. Though Seigfred promised to wash his socks, still in the end, he messed up. It's just like telling joke to someone just to make them laugh..and that's only it.
I love the rhyming words,though.

I'm definitely among those who found the barrage of grossness to be just meh. But something influenced my own rating of the book. Please, do check it out in my review and let me know what you think.

As an adult, the only thing that draws towards children's books, is the quality if the illustrations. From your review, it is obvious the author had hot that aspect covered. Might be reading this book soon

I agree that a lot of children and adults find humor in the gross, but I am glad you give some specific examples. While many are okay with discussing smells in general, the dirty diaper may take it a bit far for some. Thank is for evaluating the reading level as well .

Some kids have some seriously smelly feet. I know my nephews would find this book hilarious.

Thanks for a detailed and candid review. I read this book and enjoyed it very much. I do agree with you that a few words will need to be checked out in a dictionary. I learnt from this book that ostriches smell.. I will need to check that out. Lol. The grossness did not put me off. I found it hilarious. Well done!!

I personally don't think that kids will get turned off by the grossness of the book in that lots of kids like gross stuff like farting and bad odors. Basically every kids movie these days has gross bathroom humor because they know that makes kids laugh. I, on the other hand, am turned off by that stuff that I don't think I'll like it.

Great review. This was such a fun book and I absolutely enjoyed reviewing it. The images and text were weird and funny. They should easily keep a child's attention for the short period of time it would take to read this book.

This truly sounds delightful for those who enjoy discussing gross things! It probably isn’t for me and my kids, but I can certainly identify children who would adore it! Thanks for such a full review!

Thanks for the good review. I also think that the illustrations are good. The rhymes are executed well.
Because there gross stuffs discussed along with drawings, I think I pass. I'm quite sensitive with gross stuff.
I'm sure others will find a good laugh from it. Not just children but also adults.

A great kids book. I have just read this to my daughter, who found this hilarious. She has toddled off to go smell her books now. I loved the colourful pictures and the rythming words. I did have to explain and Google blubber lumps and Kraut. Overall a great book and one I'm sure my daughter will want to read again.

I thought this book was really cute! The descriptions of all the ways Sigfried's book got dirty reminded me of how each kid has one book that they beg their parents to read over and over again. Over time, this book becomes old and worn, but the kids love it just the same.
