The book seems to be weighted down with depths of truthful and special events having happened in the history of the blacks in the United States. Thank you for such an amazing review, that is just on point and very inviting.

Brief review of an interesting memoir. Concise but lively episodes of a man's life filled with adventures, travels, escapades and lessons, hopefully.

The title Alien In The Delta somewhat betrays what the author feels in his daily dealings with white people. It is quite a warm feeling of triumph that anyone could feel when reading about his success despite all the obstacles and hardships he went through. Thanks for the informative review.

Nice review! I like memoirs and one about a black man's experiences during the Civil Rights era sounds interesting. Unfortunately, the mention of numerous errors put me off, especially incorrect word usage. Hopefully, the author will use a good editor in future works.

I enjoyed your review. Not sure that this is a book that I have any interest in reading.

I'm enjoying the style and content of this book, though I'm not usually a fan of memoirs. It is interesting to see a piece of US history through Thankful Strother's eyes.

I haven't read so many memoirs in my life but I was drawn into reading this one because I have always been curious to learn about the black people in the previous years. As it turns out in this memoir Thankful made sure to capture every detail in his life as a black person. Including his real pictures makes it more easy to put a face in every event in his life.

I just reread your review and I'm no more interested in reading this than I was before. Even though I love reading books that are conversational in nature, I just don't read memoirs or autobiographies. The separating of sections also sounds interesting and possibly fun, but I'm still passing on this book.

Very detailed and precise review. I'm a black man from Nigeria but I must say I have no first-hand knowledge of the experiences of black people during the civil rights era. This could prove to be an interesting read.

This memoir sounds wonderful! Thankful Strother takes his readers through his life's experiences to teach life lessons and show what it was like during the Civil Rights Era. Congrats on book of the day! Great review!

Great review! I'll definitely be reading this book. I love memoirs and this one sounds very interesting! Based on your review, despite the errors you mentioned, I can already tell I will thoroughly enjoy this book. I like that this one in particular will provide some history lessons as well.
