This book is a book that I would love to read because it combines real world events and places into a complex story line. I like that the author is a graduate of law school and has a degree in economics. This makes his story line plausible and possible which makes it all the more dramatic to read. I also liked that the author created such realistic characters.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting science fiction novel set in a world where global warming has become a major issue and in response to this issue the Solar Shield Project was launched. While these mirror satellites help slow down global warming, they also have a negative impact via the "shadows" that are causing issues for tourism. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I found the title quite catchy, as it seems to mirror the title of "Guardians of the Galaxy," except that the BOTD is more focused on Earth. Thanks for the great review. It's amazing how many things we thought would be impossible in the future do really happen. And 2032 is not that far away. I remember the fear people felt about the year 2000 coming in, as though people didn't know that one day the year 2000 would be here. Perhaps we now have a chance to see possibilities happening if we don't change things in even less time.
