Great Romantic Suspenses

Post by Reeva23 »

Hey there. I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to get your 2 cents on your most loved romantic suspense authors and books. Right now I've been really into reading Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series and Nora Roberts (for just about anything). Another one of my newest favorite authors is Virginia Frazier who writes the Iron Sights series. I'm looking for an author who sort of keeps with their style-sexy and fun with thrilling, fast-paced plots.

goto this site i'm sending, and click on SELECT ONE, then pick one of the romance suspense authors from that list, i've read almost all the Nora Roberts Series, and they were awesome, but the ones i would recommend are Sherrylin Kenyon, Maggie Shayne, Gena Showalter, & Carla Neggers... here's the link to the site i found, check it out

I will have to check out the site referenced above. Suspenceromancewriters certainly sounds like it would be useful for fingding new authors. One of my favorites is Anita Shreve. I am not sure how "suspenseful" some people would consider them but I love her style of writing. It usually involves two seperate but eventually connected story lines.

In regard to your search for good romantic thrillers, may i suggest you have a quick look at my Post number:#3 under 'E-Books' in the 'E-Books and E-Readers section'. Both methods are great time savers and give a select, up-to-date choice of the very latest and best Romances.

My favorite romantic suspense novel would be Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. :) It's a great classic.

This is my favorite genre to both read and write. My favorites are Nora writing as JD Robb, Suzanne Brockmann, Linda Howard, Brenda Novak, and Lisa Jackson. All these writers not only make their action and love scenes intense, the emotional punch behind them feels real. Without the underlying emotion, I have a hard time getting invested. These ladies are all experts in hooking me in and holding on to me until the end.

The " In Death" series from J.D. Robb is fantastic. I can't wait for the next book. I've started looking for books for more mature characters and Linda Howard seems to be it so far.

You might try The Fire Inside Us by Mylisa Anderson. It's a mystery-romance.

Can I suggest mine? :D just kidding, it is not published yet :) On a more serious note - I would recommend "Deep Under" by Lisa Renee Jones (it is a stand-alone), "Made of Steel" by Ivy Smoak (but it is part of the trilogy), and "The Fireproof Girl" by Loretta Lost (also part of trilogy).

Right now I’m into the twilight series. It’s the perfect book for you if you like vampires and stuff like that. These books will make you cry. They are romantic and a good topic of a conversation.
