I thought Carly was a really good female character, both strong and genuine. It's easy for a lot of female characters to be over shadowed by male characters, such as Adam, but it was great that this wasn't the case here with Carly.

Dauma is a really interesting and reliable character. I like the strength and sense of responsibility in her character. She is a person everyone can rely on.

I found JoAnns personality and experiences very relatable to my own, so she was my favourite.

I thought that Dauma's character was the most interesting... not only was she super powerful, but she was kinda a loose canon. This really stood out to me because it kinda counters Carly's perfect cool-headedness. Dauma lets her anger get the best of her sometimes and I found that much more relatable.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” HST

Yes, and the fact that she merged with Carly due to the pain of losing her husband makes her much more relatable emotionally.

I am curious about Dauma and her past, but I found Mariah or Val to be more mysterious. I'd especially like to know why Val had been to every Descendant secret underground.

I would say Dauma was the most interesting character. We didn't get to know very much about her and i feel she would have an amazing story all her own.

In the beginning, Adam for sure! I was so confused by this kid who seemed so troubled and did such inappropriate stuff - the more I read, the more it made sense (of course). But Dauma became so interesting to me. I could not have been so strong after losing my husband. Not to mention her amazing powers, wow!

Adam was by far the most interesting character although not necessarily the most relatable or realistic. I'm wondering about his evolution in the next books in the series.

Same here. Dauma is my best character. She tried to hold it together after losing her husband, and sacrificing herself for her daughter was quite heroic.
If you want to be remembered long after you are gone, do things worth writing about or write things worth reading about.

I was most interested in Carly's character. She always showed an almost flawless mental strength.

I liked the character of JoAnn. Adam desired her in the beginning and later we were hinted that she had feelings for Adam when he accidentally touched her. While Adam liked her 'cause she had BK serum running through her. We never came to know what happened of her feelings, did she actually feel anything for him? Or she was never interested. If she liked him then what does she feel about Carly having such a strong bond with him?

carley's mother character seems to be more attractive for me because it represents all the females.

I like Val. She seems to be interesting with unique personality with great knowledge and especially the part that she doesn's brag or try hard to show off her ability. I wish she was more clearly depicted as an extra
