Post by Tirtharaj »

Hello Onlinebookclub community, I’ve started reading Ayn Rands’s Atlas Shrugged. How is the book? Shall I continue reading it? What is the book about? Welcoming valuable information from all.

God, I have so much to say about Ayn Rand, and none of them good.

She lets her political ideas leap into her work with little subversion or nuance. Her 'good guys' parrot her beliefs, and they triumph. It's a lecture, and god, she uses so so many words to do it.

The title is really cool though, I'll give it that!

As far as a novel goes, l liked it. I don't have to agree with her view point for that. Which is good, because I don't happen to entirely agree. I would recommend the book, but would also recommend that you keep your wits about you while reading.
