Well, of course, I'll pop a nicotine lozenge in or I'll read, listen to music, or go to another part of the house and clean. :)

When I am stressed, I try to calm myself down by writing my emotions. And then I divert my mind by listening to music or reading books.

So I am a stay-at-home mom of a pretty (and sassy) 18 month old little girl. Additionally, I have 2 big dogs who are not quite grown out of the puppy stage, a demanding cat, and a 150 gallon aquarium of chichlids. Oh, and I'm 37 weeks pregnant.

My husband works 10 hours/day, so you could say I have my share of stress. When I'm really feeling the frustration building, I go to the bathroom, (or my room, where ever I can escape) sit down, and take 5 deep breaths. Literally it helps. I practice yoga and the breathing is the most cleansing part.

I bump some old school rap, get out and go for a walk.

When I am stress, there is nothing I will love to do than sleep.

"Yes."
"I'll go back to sleep, then."
"Good.”

When I'm stressed I usually have a bubble bath, listen to music or read.

If I'm stressed I practice mindfulness. I take deep breaths, and I ask myself, is this something to be really stressed about? Does it need all this emotion to be handled? Usually the answer is no. And then I can calmly handle whatever it is that needs doing. This doesn't always work, but it helps. If it doesn't work, I will usually do some grounding of some kind.

One grounding thing I found helpful is to use all your senses. Find 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things your can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste. This process almost always calms me done, because I have to focus on it. I try to not use the same items and things to name either. mix it up so it keeps working, doesn't become routine.

I pray when I'm super stressed, this helps me calm down and clear my mind.

I usually listen to music but if I only do that then I get a little in my head so I also write. The other thing I do if I'm not motivated enough is just watch something funny or start a new show I've been wanting to watch. Or rewatch an old show I know that will make me laugh like The Office or Parks and Rec.
