It's inspiring to know about people who manage to uphold their perseverance and strength in the toughest of times. This looks like a meaningful memoir. Thank you for the detailed review.

This book discussing cystic fibrosis in the life of the author sounds emotional. Coupled with the pain of her mother getting killed, I can't imagine the pain the author must have endured. I don't have the stomach to read it, but glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for the wonderful review! Her story is heart-rending yet full of optimism. I like how you warned the sensitive readers, but I want to read this memoir despite the warning.

I like the exposure this book gives to cystic fibrosis. It will be informative to learn about the disease and how it affects families socially and economically. Thanks for the informative review.

This is truly inspiring! I admire the author's strength and the fact that, despite having dealt with a lot of challenges such as cystic fibrosis, she still managed to present this work in a positive manner. I'm looking forward to reading this. Thank you for this wonderful review!

Definitely sounds like an emotional story. The loss of a parent is hard enough, one can only imagine the severity of that when a parent is killed. I would think telling the story is probably therapeutic in some way to let it all out. Congratulations on BOTD.

This was a book of the day and I downloaded it without knowing anything about it. Even though I do not have CF I still found this book to be very interesting. It was very well written. I love Non-Fiction and am very glad I read this one.

Not only is the title eye-catching but so is the story! It's hard for me to come by a non-fictional book that would pique my interest.

Thanks for your review!

Without the least doubt, it sounds like the author is a very skilled writer, being able to change from present to past so smoothly keeping the reader hooked. I love sad stories with a light at the end of tunnel and if its a true story, then all the more inspiring! Thank you for your excellent review!

This book sounds like it deals with many difficult topics. Flashing back to childhood memories, where a mother is often found, during the trial of the mother's murder is heartbreaking.
