The last book I read was Quiet by Susan Cain. I would give it 3 out of 4.

At some points, it was very difficult to keep up. But as an introvert - it was wonderful to find out the mechanics behind all of it. Gave me the motivation I very much needed.

Elderhood
Redefining Aging, Transforming Medicine, Reimagining Life
Louise Aronson
Bloomsbury Publishing, Published 2019

It was a interesting book dealing with the care of the elders of the American society. The author did talk about the cultural problem with the bias of the oldest members of society, and the problem with death. If you are in the medical field, it is a important book to read. It is designed for adult readers, and my be confusing for younger readers. It is a fast read, only taken me 2 days to read 400 pages.

Last book I've read: Hard Road (Jon Reznick #1) by J.B. Turner.
Rating: 3 stars
It's a spy black ops thriller - and was quite an enjoyable read but not an absolute can't-put-down banger of a book - so 3 stars.

The last book I read was The Orb by Tara Basi. I gave it 1 out of 4 stars.
I feel like it had so much potential for the style but unfortunately it just didn't have much of a payoff for the amount of reading. I found it quite laborious which doesn't make for an enjoyable book!

9/10

If you understand the politics of America since the start of the Tea Party until now, this is reconfirming what you already understand. There was a few interesting comments.

It was a fast read, and read in less than 24 hours and I had time to sleep. It was 212 pages of a word salad

Our Man in Havana (1958) by Graham Greene is one of his lighter and funnier novels, but it is full of the prescience and talented prose that one expects from a Greene novel.

Jim Wormold is a moderately successful British vacuum cleaner salesman in Havana, Cuba, living with his teenage daughter Millie, during the years of the Cold War. He is approached to become an agent of British intelligence and, although reluctant and mostly clueless about the spying game, he needs the money, and accepts the role.

Wormold sets about creating a fictional network of sub-agents, and submits fake reports to London about people and events, for which he draws salary and expenses.

Greene works this whole farcical situation with wit and fun, making it a comedic satire about British intelligence and the Cold War generally.

He has created a series of wonderful characters, and achieves so much with so little in what is a relatively short novel.

Although this novel is now over 60 years old, it is not dated in its humour and remains clever satire, typically British in style, and reminiscent of Evelyn Waugh's Scoop.

Definitely worth reading - it won't take you long. 4 stars out of 5
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

This has been on my to read list for some time and I haven't gotten round to it yet. What would you say is the most important thing to know before reading it?

The last book I read was called 'The Last Mrs. Parrish' by Liv Constantine and Lynne Constantine. It's a great thriller/mystery book, however the plot is a bit predictable. I would give it a solid 4 out of five stars. This book kept me up several nights wanting to devour the story line.

The last book I read was "Tuesday with Morrie "written by his own student who spent the few last Tuesday of his life with his mentor and it is very good writing ... if you are stressed out and want to do or learn something than one must go through this documentary of Morrie.
