Songs that tell your story.

Post by R-Myra »

There are a lot of songs that we feel as if they are telling a part of our life or what we want. Have you come across such song that depicted your story? If so then what is the song and how did you find it? The song that shows my feeling is Never Enough by Loren Allred from The Greatest Showman.

I would say Sunflower from the Sierra Burgess is a Loser movie. I especially like the lines "But I'm a sunflower, a little funny/If I were a rose maybe you'd pick me" I've always been a little odd and that meant that guys don't always give me the attention I wish I would get. As a teenager I let the kids at my school teach me that if I wanted anyone to care I had to change. To this day sometimes I still catch myself thinking that I have a better chance of landing a cute boy if I were to just change into a rose.

When I was younger I latched unto Numb by Linkin Park like a lifeline. I felt really hopeless back then, and I could so relate to the message and the music video just put everything into perspective. Later on I got fascinated with La la la By Sam Smith & Naughty Boy. And yes! I do love Never Enough. Sometimes I fool myself that I can sing that well and act out her entire stage performance.

For the longest time, I thought Coming out of the Dark by Gloria Estefan...but as of late, it seems like Champion by Carrie Underwood ft. Ludacris, or Reach for the Stars by Will.i.Am.

OOoof, too real

I'd have to say Hymn to the Ocean from Titanic, it doesn't have any lyrics but I feel that it's perfect and open to interpretation.

Some songs I cherish so much took me by surprise. Such songs were band songs a fact I discovered while growing as I tapped in on my knowledge towards music.Too much heaven is sung by men. Firstly I thought the singer is a woman only to discover that it is only three men singing such a beautiul song. This I promise you is sung by five males and I thought it is only one guy.Good bye my friend is spice girls and I thought it was sung by one person. Most of my most cherished songs are sung by groups I`m yet discover.

I always go back and listen to Brave by Sara Bareilles. It's one of the songs I'd have on my playlist on a loop in my teenage years and a huge motivator for most of the things I've accomplished so far. It and Perfect by P!nk were basically it when I was growing up.
