Re: What made you miserable today?

Post by Alice Heritage »

My sink and dishwasher aren't draining to the point where they're not usable. Nothing I've tried to solve the problem is helping. I called a plumber on his mobile phone. He said that I should call the office. When I called the office they said I should tell the building manager to report the problem to them so that they pay for it through their insurance. I called the building manager, who never answers his phone, so I sent a message explaining all of the above. He sent me the plumber's mobile phone number. As is clear from the above, I already had it. I told him everything above and asked him if he'd reported the issue. No answer. I saw the plumber's van outside in the street so I called him. He didn't answer. I can't use my kitchen sink or dishwasher. What the actual f*** am I supposed to do about it?

Put the water from the sink into an old pot and leave it on the manager's doorstep.

Or just use the bathtub.

I'm doing all of the above except the one with the doorstep as I don't know where he lives. I got the plumber to come out anyway. He couldn't fix it because the problem appears to be deep in the pipes in the walls. The manager finally called back and was very helpful - he has to contact another firm to flush out the pipes, which will definitely have to be at the owner's expense. So I guess my misery tale has a happy ending - or it will do once the pipe people have done their work.

Plumbing problems are some of the worst things to have go wrong, especially when whoever is responsible for taking care of it...doesn't. :evil2:

Bad day all around. People doing stupid things, getting on my very last nerve (thankfully not here. Let's hear it for escaping online!); and then, while trying to watch a video on my phone, it fell onto my nose, edge first, and now I have a bruise and the bridge of my nose is swollen. Fun times.

Feel free to laugh. It is absurdly hilarious.

My son was telling me today how people have been killed by everything imaginable. You are boosting those unbelievable accident statistics.

Today, my toxic ex made me miserable. He is the absolute worst. BUT now I know that I will just refuse to have certain conversations in future.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could cut the toxic people clean out of your life? Ah, the dream. 8)

Anyway, my condolences for the toxicity. :tiphat:

Thank you! Yes, it would. I wish I could cut him clean out of my life but it's not possible just yet. However, I have renewed my determination to never discuss certain things. It's hard, but it's good practice.
