Little Bit Of Fun From A Writing Prompt
So here is what I wrote:
Kevin? What on earth are you talking about?
A memory pops up of him eating my last slice of chocolate pie. His mouth covered in crumbs as he devoured the pie. His face was full of shock when he saw I caught him and I see him holding out his hands. Darkness took over.
I stood there astonished.“Wait that was you? You told me you saw me do it and that the reason I couldn’t remember was because I was sleep walking! You said you watched me eat it like an animal.”
Silence fills the air as we stare at each other. He nods and says, “yeah...that was me.”
I can feel my body shaking. I look at him straight in the eye. “Was this the first time you’ve done this?”
He face turns red and I can see the guilt written all over his face. “Um...no”
Fearing what his answer may be, I ask away. “How many times has it been?” I can feel my heart racing.
He looks at his hands and starts counting his fingers and the more he counts the higher my heart beats.
He stares at me and says, “Since we were kids”
My body feels heavy and my legs begin to lose their strength. He scrambles of the couch and runs towards me. Apologizing over and over.
“Look I know what I can do to make it better!”
The last words I heard myself say before I was covered in darkness was
“f*ck.”
