Now you are speaking my language. When I am stressed or highly emotional, I tend to indulge in anything chocolatey, ginger cake, fries with bbq sauce, crisps etc.

Definitely burgers and fried chicken.

My go to comfort food would have to be chocolate on chocolate.
I can be having the most off putting day but something about that rich, decadent luxurious taste just lifts my spirit.

After a long tiring day or week and I haven't had a good meal, I would always find comfort in:

a simple lechon kawali (crispy pork belly)
rice
and whatever condiments I feel like indulging in (tomatoes with anchovies, calamansi, soy sauce and chili, tomatoes and shrimp paste or just plain catsup and hotsauce).

Plus throw in a can of ice cold soda!

Hmmmm, yum!

Wow you sure are fancy! I am good with a bag of potato chips. A big giant soft pretzel works also.

Homemade Mac and cheese made with Cheese Whiz is a go to for me. I also love wraps made with tons of hot sauce and Subway or Mr. Sub.

My partner makes a phenomenal shepherd's pie! It's always great when he chooses to take over in the kitchen, but I can eat literally half a pan of his shepherd's pie in a single sitting!

Otherwise, I always default to stews and creamy soups!
