This sounds like a nice, light weekend read and I might just give it a try this summer. The characters sound like they are complex, but this is nicely balanced by a fairly straightforward storyline. Thank you for this recommendation.

The beginning of the book is great. It starts off with a nightmare, then the male lead wakes up next to his wife. From his actions you can tell that he is now happy, while his wife afterwards mentions that the shell he built in Afghanistan has long been shed. He has to go to a gathering, and while going there he finds himself in a dangerous situation while hearing some risque things about his friend.

I like the book, thank you for the review, and I know I'm going to read it.

This sounds like a book that is going on my "to read" shelf! I like fast paced thrillers, and the light christian theme also is intriguing as well. I liked your review and felt that I would like this book because you stated that a reader would be able to be immersed in the characters and the story; that's my kind of book. Congratulations to Mr. Miller II for being today's BOTD!!

Action and romance seems to be a great combination. Cody and Brandi's story sounds interesting.

Thank you for the great review.

I liked your review. It made the book sound good. I would like to read it. I don't like x rated books so this one sounds like just my speed.

This is the first of the two books in the series Cody Mosquete, a former professional baseball player of the Marine Corps, suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and witnesses that a woman is kidnapped. By sharing with her they live a romance where both struggle with their dark pasts. Definitely, very interesting.

This book starts out intriguing and obviously well written. The review intrigues me even more. It sounds like the book is going to be a good one. Who doesn't love a story about an American hero turned baseball player battling his demons but still willing to help another in distress? Count me in!

Crime, religion, and romance are the topics that least interest me so I'll pass this one. I'm sure, though, this book will have many fans.

It's cool that you liked it even when I didn't. I will admit that Brandi and Cody are cute together, but the book just didn't capture me the way I wanted it to. Very nice review, though.

It is always refreshing to have a book without any explicit sexual scenes in it. I think that a book can be romantic without being overly sexual. I like that the themes of family and love are featured so prominently in this book. I also like that one of the main characters is a female journalist who is strong willed. The introduction of the former marine and his battles with PTSD are realistic.
