So I have been searching the internet and watched a video that showed exactly what I did above, but it didn't show up until he clicked "preview." Also, he used <b> for bold </b> and <i> for italic </i>. Honestly, the fact that there are over 40 pages in thread indicates to me that this is not a simple as it looks--and it looks pretty simple. I am using all of my writing time trying to figure out this stuff. Beyond frustrated!
It is simple and you did manage to do it.

I am sorry but I have the same problem as the others. If I select the entire text, I cannot write the code, b, or i. I have written the letters that I think signify the code but nothing happens. And I do not have square brackets on my keyboard. Please help.

I had so much trouble with this too until it clicked. It really is as simple as typing exactly as the example reads. The problem for me was that I never saw anything bold or italic show up. You won't see anything show up until you type your review and click the preview button. Then you can see the review exactly as it will appear. Until then, it just looks like HTML. Hope this helps someone.

I am not sure I understand the question but I answer what I understand:
Yes, regular versus bold.

I don't understand how to make text bold or italic. do you write what you need to write highlight it then type the code or type the code then type what you want to go bold? test. Regular text bold text regular text. I don't know why but I am just not getting it.

Just write in regular print and write the code before and after the section you want in italics or bolded. In Preview it will appear with the bold or italic on.
