Hi, I’m Katie!

Post by KaitlynW01 »

Hello, I’m Katie. For as long as I can remember, I’be been writing and reading. When I was ten, Amazing Kids Magazine published my writing, a short fable about working for what you have instead of taking from others. To this day, I still write sci-fi, fiction, non-fiction, and some historical fiction. But my favorite is reading, of course! Books are such a great way to escape reality. When I was a young girl I would snuggle up with a Twilight novel while my mom was getting chemo. When I was older I would read The Help when I was being bullied. It’s always fascinated me, how books can both detach and bring us back to the real world. I hope to bring something to the table at Online Book Club!

What is grief, if not love persevering?

Grief is just love with no place to go.
