Thank you for your thoughtful comments!Bluebird03 wrote: ↑23 May 2019, 09:44 This sounds like a disappointing book, in spite of the well drawn characters and the dashes of humor. You certainly justified your rating. Thank you for a very informative and insightful review!

I agree with you about dialogue. If it's stilted or too lengthy, I want to scream! Thank you for taking the time to comment!nooregano wrote: ↑23 May 2019, 12:44 Ah, I get disproportionately put off by unnatural dialogue! This also seems like the kind of story that the author might have written after getting an idea for a few interesting characters, making the plot an afterthought. Ah, well!
Thanks for yet another articulate, wonderful review, sarahmarlowe!

So do I! I haven't realised it until I read a book with particularly clunky dialogue for the first time. I guess I was spoiled. It does make one appreciate the craft of writing even more when it's done well though.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment!Hiruni Bhagya 81 wrote: ↑24 May 2019, 15:28 I like this genre. But, I'm not sure whether I should read this book or not. It looks as if it has certain drawbacks in it. Too many minor characters and several characters having the same name can be confusing. Maybe I'll skip this book. But, thanks for your thorough review.

Thank you for stopping by! I agree with you about the unnecessary confusion. Readers don't dive into a book looking for that.drifting dreamer wrote: ↑24 May 2019, 18:23 It's a pity about the errors and your comments referring to the issues with extra characters. The last thing a reader wants is to deal with unnecessary confusion that could have been easily avoided. Thank you for your honest review. I probably won't look into this book, although the quirky humor seems fun.
