I think it has the premise to be a good movie, but it is more suited to a limited tv series. The very soap opera nature of the plot could keep the viewers hooked.

Paradoxically, I think McDowell would be a better movie than a book because it has many twists and turns and dramatic situations as well as frequent changes of time and location.

The aspect of him breaking out of prison and his subsequent experiences afterwards, would make a good movie.

Yes, it can be a movie, and can be one of the finest movies that can gain popularity. The author must consider this and interested parties must plan.

Indeed it can be a movie the only important aspect is whether it will be a great movie or a lackluster one. It all depends on the people tasked into making it phenomenal. Screenwriters and the likes.

It really depends on the directors and the people involved in making this story a movie. Even the greatest of the stories end up getting bad criticism from the audience. This story is great, but it needs to end up in right hands to gain the success.

Since the book possesses controversial content, I think it would work better as a series geared toward a specific target audience. Given the fact that Netflix has shows exploring content like suicide and witchcraft, I think that McDowell would fit in there.

I think it wouldn't appeal to a large part of the audience. There's not enough action in it and it is too realistic.

I think it would be an amazing movie because of the plot twice it has. But for me, every reader make its own movie from their head, it would be just fair to see it come to life, even if it's not the same one.

Maybe one of those made for tv ones. it lacks the gripping storyline for a blockbuster.

I think that the book can be turned into a really interesting movie. The plot is fascinating, so it is a good option to shoot a film.

It could, but I don't think it will, given the current political environment. Someone like Tarantino would make a great director for it, as it's grounded, mysterious and it has some extreme personalities in it.

No. The story is filled with many activities. Good movies are created to follow a specific plot. But if the author has such thinking he should give it a try.

Do you think it would work? Why or why not? What aspects of the book would work well on film? What would not work?
I think it would make a great movie. I think the characters are interesting and would hold the attention of the viewer.

I think this book would be better off as a movie. It has so much material and potential, but the writing felt flat somehow. I only like this book after I've finished reading it.
