This is such a hard question because different genres offer such different cinematic experiences. I love independent films because I think the stories told and the passion behind these projects are so important. However, some of my favourite cinema trips have been watching Marvel films.

I have such an eclectic taste. I would say my favorite tv genres are similar to my favorite book genres. It all just depends on mood for me.

Sci Fi. Used to be a fan of horror, but I can't get into recent horror.

Fantasy and sci-fi all the way. Both for books and films. What's interesting, I seem to have less and less patience for any other genres as I grow older as well. Did anyone else notice this about themselves?

My favorite genre in books in paranormal, so I do watch a lot of those movies as well. But I also really enjoy action and sci-fi, as well as comic book inspired movies.

I tend to watch comedies more, and read more about YA or Dystopian. I don't watch that many romance/sci-fi films or series.

I think that my movies and books have similar genres. I like romance, sci-fi/fantasy, adventure, and action mostly. I occasionally read other genres if the story interests me.

Most of time, if I find a book or movie that i like, i go find the original book or the media inspired from it (and vice versa)
I certainly know what kind of genres i do NOT like, like romances in all form and shapes. Also horror books. (Horror movies are fine but i whatch them moslty to have a laugh)

I have one specific genre that I ADORE with all myself and unfortunatly is extremely rare, and that is a mix between supernatural and humor.
Seriously, every single supernatural book i've read ( and i've read a LOT of them) involves more drama than actual plot.
