Which is your favourite song or tune?

Post by ajinkya1991 »

Tell me which is your favourite song or tune. Don't forget to mention about the musician or singer of that song.
My favourite song is SWADES. It is in Hindi language. It is sung by A. R. Rahman and he own has directed its music.

My favorite song is "Thieves in the Night" by Black Star (Mos Def and Talib Kweli). I also love "Working Class Hero" by John Lennon.

I've been listening to Brick by Ben Folds Five a lot lately, a very moving song.
Also, there is this awesome excerpt of Kurt Vonnegut's novel Slaughterhouse-Five on Myspace, they allow you to download it.
Search Kurt Vonnegut under music in myspace, it's an amazing anti-war piece.

I don't think I can choose just one, but here are a few:

"Joga" by Bjork
"Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos" by Public Enemy
"Masters of War" by Bob Dylan
"Hello, Birmingham" by Ani DiFranco
"Solea" by Miles Davis

Good call on Benfolds! Personally, I cant get enough of Dylan or the Beatles. Eleanor Rigby has impressive lyrics. Motorpsycho nightmare is a laughable Dylan tune which I admire greatly.

Oh, and most lyrics by Talib are supurb in that they are quite socially aware.

4. Hank - Country Boy Can Surive
5. Willie - Pancho and lefty
