Is this any good?

Post by Cath »

Trapped

I love him so much, but he’s never there,
I give him my all, but he doesn’t care.
We live in our house, but it doesn’t feel like home,
My hearts breaking inside, I feel so alone.
Tomorrow will be better; I promise I’ll change,
But nothing ever does, it’s always the same.
I can’t stand this anymore; something’s got to give,
We can’t stay like this; it is no way to live.
I try to leave, but he begs me to stay,
I know that I shouldn’t, but I can’t walk away.
I love him you see, and I always will,
Two hearts bound together, in a life with no thrill.

It's touching and annoying at the same time. While you have captured the pain of a soulless relationship, I want to throttle the woman for clinging to false hope.

I've read it as maud has, very moving words put across from the heart, but it does make the woman out to be weak which is not at all p.c these days, but unrequainted love is timeless and applies to both sexes (yes, me once) so I still find the words touching.

Good lines for the song.
But it shows an eternal condition of woman's heart and soul, so I can't see anything original here. Anyway poetry is good and touching.

The feeling was there, definitely.
It was lacking somewhere, but I cant really put my finger on it.
Id give it a 4/5.
Id be more specific, ill have to read it a couple more times.

You've captured the frustration but now you must make you writers feel it...

I love it. I was able to relate a bit ;) Every bit of words you put in your poem is true and something that is experienced by everyone. The words chosen were simple and real.

Nice creation. I can feel. But the time does not match with the feelings.
