Poetry, like music, is a form of artistic expression that has the ability to evoke strong emotions and convey deep meanings.

When combined with music, it can create a unique experience that can be both meditative and emotionally stirring.

One way to combine music and poetry is through the use of spoken word performances.

This is a popular form of artistic expression where poets recite their work while accompanied by music or sound effects.

The music enhances the mood and tone of the poem, adding an extra layer of depth to the performance.

Another way to pair music with poetry is through songwriting. Many popular songs have lyrics that are essentially poems set to music.

This type of collaboration between musicians and poets can result in some truly beautiful and powerful works of art.

The combination of music and poetry is a natural fit. Both forms of expression have the ability to stir emotions and convey deep meaning, and when combined, they can create a truly unique and memorable experience.

Either way is fine by me. I have seen that background music adds emotion to anything. I cannot say how many times I have cried while watching something or listening to a poem because the soft background music dips and increases at the right places. You know what? I think poetry is better with background music.

Absolutely. Spoken Word is more powerful when emotions are being stirred by background music

Lyrical music, the final form, is far more powerful than just poetry.

I suppose in some instances, the music can "overtake" the words in that it becomes more important- but I don't think we have any need to think of it as pitting them against one another.

I believe music is a different kind of art so does poem. A poem without music is totally fine as you can create rhythm with ut. It’s how it should be delivered though.

I prefer poetry with background music. It makes it sound a whole lot better and gives the poem a much deeper meaning.

I agree with poetry having background music. It can create an amazing atmosphere around the ones who listen. As a fan of poetry and one who does practice poems, I enjoy it with background music.

It's better with the back ground of music but I'll like to add sound to it. Like, violin or strings.
