Who still listens to ABBA and other songs from the '80s?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

Depeche Mode and Erasure are the only pop bands I like (actually I am obsessed with Depeche Mode). Though I really like a lot of the songs from the 80s that people use as jokes, in particular I love Forever Young by Alphaville. If you listen to the words it is actually quite profound and sorrowful.

The 80s is simply the greatest era of music ever. Talented bands, funky music, humorous people. It was the best of times! And it is timeless too. No one will ever forget the 80s music.

I love ABBA and I still listen to their music up 'til now. The musical (Mamma Mia) also helped me discover more of their songs. :tiphat:

Old musics are better than current ones. Thanks to my parents who always played the oldie songs over and over in the car lol. ABBA is one of their favorites.

I still do listen to the Abba and music from the 80`s as it is songs from that period I listened to and appreciated due to good instrumentation and lyrics for example super trouper by Abba,Liberian girl by Micheal Jackson.Such songs are what drew inspiration for songs of the twenty first century .

In my opinion, music from 1964 to around 1988 was the best. There were good songs before and after that time, but most of the music in that time was very good.

I love all things 80s! I think the music that came out in the 80s was so great. Queen, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Whitney Houston’s, there was literally no wrong doing at that time in my opinion.

I don't actively search for it but if it's on the radio I love 80s music, especially power ballads.

I'm moving to Stockholm, and ABBA is huge in Sweden. So I guess I'll need to brush up on my '80s music knowledge!

I still listen to music by the Abba. I learned about through my mother because of the tapes and CDs she had, as some of their songs had a place on her playlist for example one of us. I still do listen to music of the 80 and 90s and songs are from artists like Whitney houston, Celine Dion, Micheal Jackson, New edition et cetera.
