Stuff like The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Fleet Foxes, Sufjan Stevens, Lucy Rose, Bombay Bicycle Club, Bon Iver, Radiohead, Iron & Wine, Tame Impala, Sigur Ros, etc.

I understand that some of these bands might not actually be "independent" anymore in the sense that they're already signed to major labels. But I'm talking about the alternative sound/genre.

If you like this kind of music, give us a recommendation and tell us about your favorite band/album/song!

I also love artic Monkeys but I'm still trying to comprehend what Indie music and movies are exactly. I can't seem to differentiate them.

I love exploring different types of music including Indie music. I have heard about Artic Monkeys because my brother listens to them and I think they are good for a band.

Ever since I read Tiger's Saga by Colleen Houck, I've been interested by India. So if you're a fan of India, you must read this series!!

Indie music is the only thing so listen too. Mostly Vance Joy, Dean Lewis, etc. I would highly recommend The Lumineers. They have more of a indie/folk vibe.

I love indie music. It's by far my favourite genre because of how the artists focus so much on the meaning behind lyrics, and the uplifting instrumental. It's feel-good music.

I love Bishop Briggs, Kings of Leon, Hozier, Imagine Dragons & Mumford & Sons. It's a relatively new fascination but I find I'll listen to these more than the regular pop, hip-hop and R&B I'm used to.

I like some of beabadoobees' music. I mean it depends on the artist though. I've never heard of any of those bands you mentioned...😅

I personally like Mumford and Sons, X Ambassadors, Jacob Banks, Tom Walker, Hozier, Dermot Kennedy, and Matt Maeson. I enjoy listening to music that has a good beat and lyrics that have meaning that I can resonate with.
