I'm exactly the same. I can work well with instrumental, but anything else is too distracting.

I often listen to music whilst working but it has to be something I know so well that I won't just concentrate on the music. I have a few albums that I've listened to so many times since the age of about 14 that I can still enjoy the music subconsciously whilst focusing on something else because I know the songs so well.

I do! I work in an office off a busy hallway. Sometimes I put one earbud in to help drown out the noise so that I can concentrate on my computer work . I am usually agitated when someone comes in and disturbs me!
