Do you have a song, that helps you through a tough time?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

Asleep and How Soon is Now? by The Smiths (and The Smiths in general), also I really enjoy Sympathy by Too Close To Touch when I'm feeling particularly annoyed with someone!

I'm not particularly religious but this song always helps me when I'm in a dark place.

I adore Fleetwood Mac. There have been at least three instances where I have been going through medical complications and on the way to/from the hospital where I have heard Stevie Nicks crooning "Dreams" over the car radio. It soothed me and always felt like a huge coincidence that made me smile.

I've been finding really good jazz background music on YouTube. This is my go-to when I am working and stressed. It helps calm me down.

The songs that are my rock and cushion are Numb by Linkin Park, La la la by Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith and Scars to Your Beautiful by Alessia Cara. When I'm feeling forlorn and extra depressed they just incite this pull-up-your-socks effect that I enjoy and that gets me out of my stump.

I love music a LOT, but unfortunately no song has that effect on me.

A few Pitbull songs, 15-20 minutes of random crazy dance alone in my room. Letting out the frustrations really helps.

I do! I listen to Christian songs and my go-to when I'm feeling insecure and down is A Little Too Much by Shawn Mendes.
