My feelings

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

Poetry is one of the best way to convey ones feeling with specific words. A same poem may have different meaning for different people depending on ones emotions.

Poetry and Music are an expression of what we feel and sometimes depict who we are or what we'd like....I'd use poetry at any given time to show what i feel especially when depressed

This is so true yet, not always does it affect others, especially if they do not know the first thing about poetry and how things like symbolism work. Poetry and music although set in the heart of feelings, not everyone can use them to pin point how they feel or fully understand the feelings being conveyed.

I agree, poetry has the ability to make you feel emotions through combination of the subtle use of language and visualisation.

Poetry is a great medium with which to express yourself, whether it's creative ideas, thoughts that plague you, or complex feelings. I'm not a great poet, but I've listened to plenty of songs whose lyrics I can completely identify with.

Music like poetry can make you feel the emotions of the human heart and can effect the people who hear it.
Very true!

Poetry and music bleed emotions and I love especially when an author finds a new, right-on perspective with which to view or describe a feeling or when they use a clever phrase to talk about emotions.

Poems are nice. They help convey thoughts or emotions in a vivid way that leaves the reader with no uncertainty as what the power is saying

For poems though, we capitalize on brevity.
