Music from Video Games

Post by batkinson6490 »

Not sure if their is already a thread about this (didn't see one while browsing), but does anyone have any video games that have the BEST soundtracks ever? I find that I love music that is composed for video games. I love the Skyrim theme song as well as many songs from the game League of Legends.

Does anyone else have any other games that were spawned from a video game?

I love the music from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (I guess I'm showing my age here, huh?) I've found different renditions of the songs from the game on iTunes, and I've downloaded a few of them.

I am so glad that I'm not the only person who loves music from video games! My favorite soundtrack would have to be Final Fantasy 7. That may be in part because that is my favorite video game (and I am ecstatic about the news that they will be doing a remake of it), but also because of the quality of sound for that time period. The soundtrack has a wide variety of sound for different parts of the game, and I can feel the emotion that the music is describing the scene with. It was very beautifully done in my opinion. One-Winged Angel is my favorite song from the game, not only is the original enjoyable but the remade version from Advent Children (Final Fantasy 7 movie spinoff) is pretty good too. I can hardly wait until they finish the remake to be able not only to play the game, but to see the rest of the soundtrack redone with an updated and more modern sound.

I like the music from the Kingdom Hearts game series, especially Dearly Beloved. I highly recommend that piece.

Well, the soundtrack of Detroit: Become Human is pretty good, both in its action cues and emotional themes. Since I like soundtracks loaded with action and an epic themes, of recent games, I like those of the Batman Arkham trilogy, Deus Ex Human Revolution/Mankind Divided, and some of the Call of Duty ones (MW2, MW3, Ghosts, AW).

Out of this line, I also love the TES Skyrim soundtrack. Of some older ones, I always liked those of the Age of Empires and the saga of Metal Gear Solid.

I always loved the music in Tony Hawks Pro Skater - but maybe that's because it reminds me of my childhood and spending time with my older brother.

When I was younger, I used to love the Minecraft music. Nothing else made me quite as calm as the Minecraft music on a rainy day could. The DOOM 2016 soundtrack is also pretty great.

I used a song from a final fantasy soundtrack for my wedding song in place of "Here Comes the Bride." I didn't just want to be a bride, I wanted to be magical. I think it was FF7 or maybe 8 . I'd know it if I heard it or probably if I saw the title.

I don't play videogames any longer but what a beautiful music.
Heart! We will forget him!
You an I, tonight!
You may forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.

When you have done, pray tell me
That I my thoughts may dim;
Haste! lest while you're lagging.
I may remember him!

I love the MegaMan 8 soundtrack a lot actually
it's probably just nostalgia though.
