My favorite song from my high school days:
My favorite line:
You're happy you're in love; you need someone to hate...

My boo just left to return to Japan today, so I'm feeling a bit sad and nostalgic. :( Here's what we consider "our song," which we first heard on one of our dates to see Big Hero 6!
There's actually a Japanese version as well, but I figured more people would enjoy the English version :D

I know this song was originally written for Paul Walker, but I want to dedicate this song to another great actor which I liked and recently passed away. RIP Alan Rickman! I will always remember you. 8)

Excerpt from The Old Man and the Harley by John J. Newkirk:
Copland wrote the fanfare for the ordinary American—for those “doing all the dirty work in the war.” He wrote it for the defenders of Wake Island, Dutch Harbor, and Bataan—for Rosie the Riveter, the families planting victory gardens, and for a group of colored men in Tuskegee, Alabama, who wanted to show the world they could fly. He wrote it for an underpaid professor in New York who solved the vibration problems in the B-17’s superchargers, for a group of Navaho Indians who’d become codetalkers, for the Virginia Jane Dunhams of the world who gave their men even more reason to come home alive—and for that handful of men who gave their lives protecting thousands of unknown Chinese. Aaron Copland wrote his fanfare for the millions of Americans who, rather than fixating on their differences, focused instead on what they had in common.
"There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self." —Ernest Hemingway

I would like to nominate "Christie Lee" by Billy Joel
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru-gkHHwDb4

It has a great rhythm and the vocals are classically Billy Joel!

Fireflies by Owl City
I actually really disliked this video/song when I first saw/heard it :shhh:
I don't know why, and I don't know why it grew on me, but it did
And no...it's nothing to do with the name :P

Owl City has that effect on people. He's kind of like a slow burn. ;)

Icon For Hire with Off with Her Head. Not a pleasant title, but a good song. :D
