Most of my new music comes from TV shows. The soundtrack for Lucifer, Legacies and Cloak and Dagger have been on my playlist for a while now and they're very nice. I've noticed that some authors have taken to adding a playlist in their books (mostly the electronic versions) and I normally go from there or through recommendations by other people.

I browse a lot on Apple Music but I also find a lot of new songs and new artists on different TV shows and movies. I use Shazam a lot whenever I hear a song I like. I also find a lot of music at Dance competitions which is where I spend a lot of time for work!

I enjoy listening to music via radio. For example shows which rank countdowns, there is a bit titled new music which plays the latest songs. While watching Television, there shows with bits titled premier maybe Tuesdays that is also another way. There is tubidy, a search engine where I am enabled to download my favorite and cherished songs.

I usually just put spotify on shuffle. Oh, and just set youtube to autoplay. You find some interesting songs like that.

I look up a song that I like and then I listen to the mix suggestion until I find a song that screams "LISTEN TO ME!" lol

I watch weekly musical shows on TV or listen to similar ones via radio because some of them tend to have premier days or count downs for that matter. Gossip shows also tend to have information about new music because they love giving their opinion.

Spotify, Pandora, IHeartRadio, etc. I don't listen to mainstream music or regular broadcasted radio, and I'm not a "bubblegum" music person.

But, if I create a station based on some of my favorite performers I can usually find something that I like. For instance, I found out about Lunasa' because I like listening to Gaelic Storm and Clannad, etc.

...then again a commercial introduced me to one of my favorite celtic punk bands, The Dropkick Murphys ;) 8) 8)

To find new music you need to go to the featured playlists on your music app/station etc. also you can look at the top rated songs of the day. I recommend using Apple Music or Spotify they have a lot of these options. Once you do this for a couple of months you will be hearing songs hours after they come out. You will finally be the one showing your friends music to listen too 😂.

Youtube recommendations! I find a lot of music and artists that I end up loving through that. Play your favorite songs on youtube and it'll end up recommending you music that is similar to those.
