How do you discover new music?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

I either go through YouTube or allow Spotify to suggest music to me. In my opinion, Spotify has been one of, if not the best, resource for finding new music! It has a weekly discover playlist based on the music in your library, so I almost always find at least one song I like in the mix.

Every so often I make myself listen to a radio channel I wouldn't normally listen to to broaden my musical horizons. Sometimes I don't find anything I like at all, and certainly feel no compulsion for the sake of it, but it's an interesting exercise.

Scrolling through YouTube. I usually watch some film edits where I really like the music.

Stalk people (those that I know listen to a good music) on Facebook, YouTube suggestions (but those get repetitive quickly) and just suggestions from different people.

I honestly have this problem too, but I got lucky with my boyfriend being a music maniac. He's the one who usually plugs me to new music. But other times I just go and listen to a genre-specific playlist on Spotify.

My sister is always the first to know when new music is up and she won't stop singing unless you let her know you've heard her out. That's how I know there's a new track out there.

I use Youtube mostly, or skip through the radio in the mornings or evenings when driving home. Generally on Youtube, whenever you're on a recent song's page, others similar to it pop up.

I use Youtube to discover new music usually. I watch a lot of MVs (Music Videos) or AMVs (Animated/Anime Music Videos). They are usually created by fans of a show or movie so the music is usually pretty good. Just search your favorite show or anime on Youtube followed by AMV. There is a lot for The Walking Dead, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Teen Titans, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've found so many more songs from just watching these videos!

I just type keywords like 'New' or 'Country Music' or anything else like that on YouTube or Google and scroll through the page. Most of the times I just scroll without even thinking about specific keywords.
