When I hear an OST soundtrack, I immediately remember that movie or book.
Some songs have become the signature songs of the movie.
For instance, City of stars in La La Land, All I want in The fault in our stars, or Decode in Twilight.

Ooh so many. I like putting book playlists on Spotify of songs that i listened to or were in the charts when I read a particular book, or that I feel remind me or relate to the characters.
For that, I feel a lot of Ellie Golding's music reminds me of Divergent, but particularly Woodkid's "Run Boy Run" as it was used so well in the movie. Also like "Faded" by Alan Walker as it reminds me of Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare.

Can't forget the classic "Bad Things" that was the title music for True Blood either.

When I saw "NERVE" I screamed when I heard Melanie Martinez, Halsey and MO so to this day I always remember that they're part of a sountrack and my babies made it big.

When I was first reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, I always listened to the album "The Emancipation of Mimi" by Mariah Carey, so every time I listen to some of the songs of that album it reminds me of HP!!

The song Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap reminds me of the movie 1000 Days of Summer. This song was used in the middle of the movie during the main character's relationship with a young lady named Summer.

Ghost Love Score by Nightwish reminds me of The Woman in Black, or Alice through the Looking Glass. It's symphonic and Gothic and has all the qualities of an elegant dark fantasy to it. Even in Death by Evanescence reminds me of Romeo and Juliet, and how haunting their bodies were when the rest of their families discovered them. Red Moon by Kalafina and Decode by Paramore reminds me of Dark Shadows, though I don't know why. Perhaps I've spent too much time in this genre after all.
