Hound Dog by Elvis Presley, the original was done by Big Mama Thornton a few years earlier. Both awesome versions. Another by Elvis is Are You Lonesome Tonight which was originally done by Charles Hart in 1927. Oscar Grogan also did a version in 1927. Al Jolson also did a great version of it in 1950. The earlier versions wernt up to much, but the Jolson and Elvis versions were classic. Great music never dies.

My favorite so far is Ed Sheeran's Version of "Baby one more time"
I think it was originally sung by Britney Spears

I LOVE Disturbed's cover of "Sound of Silence" originally by Simon and Garfunkel. I'm not a huge fan of covers, but that one is amazing!

An interesting coverof two songs, Heartbreak Hotel by Elvis and Blue Suede Shoes by Carl Perkins later recorded on Tops records, a cheap budget label from the 50's. The artist was Hank or Thumper Jones, he later became known as George Jones.

One of my favorite covers is "All I want to do is make love to you" covered by Halestorm. The original is by Heart but man that cover is really amazing.

I like Johnny Cash's version much better than the Nine Inch Nails' song.

I like "The Sound of Silence" covered by Disturbed. It's almost as good as Simon and Garfunkel's original.

Such an odd crossover but it is incredible!! The Johnny Cash version is so haunting and his voice adds a whole different layer to the emotion of the song

I love wild crossover covers the most and was really into the "Punk Goes.." albums released about 10 years ago. I also must admit that I prefer the Eva Cassidy version of Time After Time!
