Once that you've decided on a killing,
First you make a stone of your heart.
And if you find that your hands are still willing,
Then you can turn a murder into art.

There really isn't any need for bloodshed,
You just do it with a little more finesse.
If you can slip a tablet into someone's coffee,
Then it avoids an awful lot of mess.

It's murder by numbers, 1, 2, 3,
It's as easy to learn as your ABC.
Murder by numbers, 1, 2, 3,
It's as easy to learn as your ABC.

Now if you have a taste for this experience
And you're flushed with your very first success,
Then you must try a twosome or a threesome
And you'll find your conscience bothers you much less

Because murder is like anything you take to
It's a habit-forming need for more and more.
You can bump off every member of your family
And anybody else you find a bore

Because it's murder by numbers, 1, 2, 3,
It's as easy to learn as your ABC
Murder by numbers, 1, 2, 3,
It's as easy to learn as your ABC.

Now you can join the ranks of the illustrious
In history's great dark hall of fame.
All our greatest killers were industrious
At least the ones that we all know by name.

But you can reach the top of your profession
If you become the leader of the land,
For murder is the sport of the elected,
And you don't need to lift a finger of your hand

Because it's murder by numbers, 1, 2, 3,
It's as easy to learn as your ABC.
Murder by numbers, 1, 2, 3,
It's as easy to learn as your A, B, C, D, E,..........

I hold your hand in mine dear
I press it to my lips
I take a healthy bite
From your dainty fingertips
The night you died I cut it off
I really dont know why
For now each time I kiss it
I get bloodstains on my tie
Im sorry now I killed you
Our love was something fine
Until they come to get me
I shall hold your hand in mine.

Piece by piece he collected me up off the ground where you abandoned things and piece by peace he filled the wholes that you burned in me at six years old.

She wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts. She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers, thinking about the day when you wake up and find that what you're looking for has been here the whole time.

We are the thunder and the chorus of war
We are the hammer that will break off their horns
We are the weapon in the hands of a slave
We are the arsonist who started the flames

Our commander is leading us into the fire
and we won’t stop until we are done
the endless oppression will fall at His side
the fire of Armageddon’s gonna fall from the sky

They raise their towers to the clouds
we’ll burn their empires to the ground
we’re tearing them down
this is the sound of the Dead Militia

Crawling like serpents underground
they hide but soon they will be found
we’re smoking them out
this is the sound of the Dead Militia

We are the dagger that will strike at their heart
We are the nova that dismantles the dark
We are the saber that will take off their head
We are the artist that will paint the world red

Our commander is leading us into the fire
and we won’t stop until we are done
death and decay will be no more alive
the earth will lift her hand in hallelujah to God

They raise their towers to the clouds
we’ll burn their empires to the ground
we’re tearing them down
this is the sound of the Dead Militia

Crawling like serpents underground
they hide but soon they will be found
we’re smoking them out
this is the sound of the Dead Militia

Dead Militia!

They raise their towers to the clouds
we’ll burn their empires to the ground
we’re tearing them down
this is the sound of the Dead Militia

Crawling like serpents underground
they hide but soon they will be found
we’re smoking them out
this is the sound of the Dead Militia

Bring the good old bugle boys, we'll sing another song
Sing it with a spirit that will start the world along
Sing it as we used to sing it fifty thousand strong
While we were marching through Georgia.

Hurrah! Hurrah! We bring the jubilee!
Hurrah! Hurrah! The flag that makes you free!
So we sang the chorus from Atlanta to the sea
While we were marching through Georgia.

Traditional. It was supposedly written by one of the soldiers in Sherman's army.

Georgia, Georgia
The whole day through (the whole day through)
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind (Georgia on my mind)

I said Georgia, Georgia
A song of you (a song of you)
Comes as sweet and clear
As moonlight through the pines

Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you

I said Georgia, oh Georgia
No peace I find (peace I find)
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind (Georgia on my mind)

Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you

Woah, Georgia, Georgia
No peace, no peace I find
Just an old, sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind (Georgia on my mind)

I said just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind

Way down yonder in the Indian nation
I ride my pony on the reservation
In those Oklahoma hills where I was born
(Dont remember the rest of it)

They lived in peace, not long ago
A mighty Indian tribe
But the winds of change
Had made them realize, that the promises were lies

The white man's greed, in search of gold
Made the nation bleed
They had lost their faith
And now they had to learn
There was no place to return
Nowhere they could turn

Cherokee - marching on the trail of tears
Cherokee - marching on the trail of tears

They were driven hard, across the plains
And walked for many moons
Cause the winds of change
Had made them realize, that the promises were lies

So much to bear, all that pain
Left them in despair
They had lost their faith
And now they had to learn
There was no place to return
Nowhere they could turn

Cherokee - marching on the trail of tears
Cherokee - marching on the trail of tears

Cherokee - marching on the trail of tears
Cherokee - marching on the trail of tears

In my prison cell I sit thinking mother dear of you
Of our bright and happy home so far away
And the tears they fill my eyes in spite of all that I can do
Though I try to cheer my comrades and be gay.

Tramp! Tramp! Tramp! The boys are marching
Cheer up comrades they will come
And beneath the starry flag we shall breathe the air again.
In the free land in our own beloved homes.

In the battle front we stood when their fiercest charge they made
And they swept us off a hundred men or more
But before they reached our lines they were beaten back dismayed
And we heard the cry of victory o'er and o'er.

(Repeat chorus)

So within the prison cell we are waiting for the day
That youll come and open wide the iron door
And the hollow eye grow bright and the poor heart almost gay
When we think of seeing home and friends once more.

(repeat chorus)

Tramp! Tramp! Tramp! George Fredrick Root

So you think you're a Romeo
Playing a part in a picture show
Well take the long way home
Take the long way home

You're the joke of the neighborhood
Why should you care if you're feeling good?
Take the long way home
Take the long way home

There are times that you feel you're part of the scenery
All the greenery is comin' down boy
And then your wife seems to think you're part of the furniture
Oh, it's peculiar she used to be... so... nice
Lonely days turn to lonely nights
Take a trip to the city lights
Take the long way home
Take the long way home
You never see what you want to see
Forever playing to the gallery
You take the long way home
Take the long way home
When you're up on the stage it's so unbelievable
Oh, unforgettable how they adore... you
But then your wife seems to think you're losing your sanity
Oh, calamity is there no way out?
Oh, yeah
Ooh
Ooh... yeah
Does it feel that your life's become a catastrophe?
Oh, it has to be for you to grow boy
When you look through the years and see what you could have been
Oh, what you might have been if you'd have had more time
So when the day comes to settle down
Who's to blame if you're not around?
You took the long way home
You took the long way home
You took the long way home
Ooh yeah yeah
You took the long way home
You took the long way home
Oh, yeah
You took the long way home
You took the long way home
Ooh yeah
You took the long way home
Ah-ah-ah-ah
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah-ah
Long way home
Long way home
Long way home
Long way home
Long way home
Long way home
Long way home

Long Time Gone
Dixie Chicks

Daddy sits on the front porch swinging,
Looking out on a vacant field.
Used to be filled with burley t'bacca.
Now he knows it never will.
My brother found work in Indiana,
Sister's a nurse at the old folks home.
Mama's still cooking too much for supper,
And me, I've been a long time gone.
Been a long time gone,
No, I ain't hoed a row since I don't know when.
Long time gone, and it ain't coming back again.
Delia plays that ol' church piano,
Sittin' out on her daddy's farm.
She always thought that we'd be together,
Lord, I never meant to do her harm.
Said she could hear me singin' in the choir,
Me, I heard another song.
I caught wind and hit the road runnin',
And Lord, I've been a long time gone.
Been a long time gone,
Lord, I ain't had a prayer since I don't know when.
Long time gone, and it ain't comin' back again.
Now me, I went to Nashville,
Tryin' to beat the big deal.
Playin' down on Broadway,
Gettin' there the hard way.
Living from a tip jar,
Sleeping in my car.
Hocking my guitar,
Yeah, I'm gonna be a star.
Now, me and Delia singing every Sunday,
Watching the children and the garden grow.
We listen to the radio to hear what's cookin',
But the music ain't got no soul.
Now they sound tired but they don't sound Haggard,
They've got money but they don't have Cash.
They got Junior but they don't have Hank.
I think, I think, I think, the rest is,
A long time gone,
No, I ain't hit the roof since I don't know when.
Long time gone, and it ain't coming back.
I said a long time gone,
No, I ain't honked the horn since I don't know when.
Long time gone, and it ain't coming back again.
I said a long time, long time, long time gone.
Well, it's been a long time.
Long time, long time, long time gone,
Oh, it's been a long time gone.
Long time, long time, long time gone.
Yeah, yeah.
