Me?
I'm Portuguese, people would say I sound something like a mix of Italian and Russian accent? I have no idea.
Some people said that I sound American because I watch a lot of American movies, so maybe that's one xD

Portugal, home of the " Green Soup " I love !, with Kale...

I adore the Portuguese language, when I was in Brazil it reminded me of Italian and Spanish...

Ohhh, our "caldo verde", yes it's good :)
It's odd to hear someone saying they love my language because I seem to see people always frowning their noses at it.~

But have you tried codfish? It's a Christmas tradition in Portugal. Other people have turkey, we have codfish (not me anymore because I stopped eating meat 2 years ago, ehe). Every Portuguese person knows 1001 ways to cook codfish xD

REALLY?!?! I love the Portuguese language! It's so beautiful. However, my experience is only with the Brazilian version, and I've wondered if it is different across the Atlantic?

It's VERY different. Brazilian are known to have a very "open" accent. They open more their vowels while we close them more. That's why it's easier to learn Brazilian Portuguese, not to mention it's only about 12 million speaking Portuguese from Portugal and about 350 million speaking Brazilian Portuguese :P

It gets a little annoying when you see a thread with 500 something replies, yet only one or two people even bother to respond with a generic "Welcome" to a new member thread. There also seems to be not as much about books, and a lot more random or community posts.
Sorry you get skipped over!!! I know you exist!!

I feel like a lot of the "book" threads don't get a lot of convo going on in them because people just post to increase their reviewer score so they can do reviews. And once they get reviews to do, they lose interest in the forums.

I'm very new here like a few days actually joined for the reviewing but I actually enjoy the forums as well. I'm still very intimitated when posting because I'm weird but maybe I can meet a few other weirdos here. Lots of people just do not get my weird obsessions with books and the way I totally become part of the characters.
