Let me write your name in Japanese!

Post by ALynnPowers »

Ever wondered how to write your name in Japanese? I can teach you!

Just tell me your name (and any special pronunciation -- since Japanese is a phonetic language and pronunciation is VERY important) and I will show you what it looks like in Japanese.

Examples:
Heather = ヘザー (Hezaa)
Scott = スコット(Sukotto)
Superman = スーパーマン (Suupaaman)

Impress your friends! 8)

Dory = ドーリー (Doorii)

Graverobber = グレーブロバー (Gureeburobaa)

Tricky! I could translate "Graverobber" into the literal meaning... 墓の泥棒 (Haka no dorobo) Hahahah

Oops... forgot to show you the "romaji" (spelling with Roman letters)

シーラ (Shiira)

That makes it ten times cuter! (There is no L in Japanese!)

Lisa
Hee Hee polite!!

Lisa can actually be a name in Japanese!!! But it's spelled Risa.

So because it's Japanese, you have lots of options.
リサ would be the "foreigner" way to write it
りさ is the exact same thing just different alphabet

Then you can get some special characters!!! My favorite!!
理沙 How special! There are other options as well, but i give you this one (most common)
8) That was fun!

I actually know a Japanese guy named Ryan!! My coworker... but it's spelled Raian. Because that's how it's pronounced. So you get options as well.

ライアン is "foreigner" way
らいあん is same as above but "native" alphabet
As for Chinese characters... I will find some for you. I don't know how Raian Sensei writes his name.
Okay I decided 来案
it means future plan/idea
I think it suits you.

You are so awesome - I specifically look for your posts because they are usually very clever and funny and cute. (does that make me a stalker?)
