Who likes anime - Japanese animation ?

Post by Books+anime+Beatles »

Do you like anime? If so, which films and/or series do you like and recommend?

I love and absolutely recommend the following.

The Studio Ghibli films, specially those by Hayao Myiazaki:

Nobody likes anime? :( Not even the Oscar winner Hayao Miyazaki?

No, my cousins and a few of my friends tried to get me into it, but it just never stuck.

I absolutely love them. One Piece is my favorite, its an ongoing series with 600+ episodes. I also like Bleach, Vampire Knights, Samurai X, Slam Dunk, and so on. I always wished I could learn Japanese so that I can watch them without translations. Its sometimes hard to understand some of them because their translations are not that accurate and I have to find reliable downloadable links.

Have you ever watched a movie by Hayo Miyazaki? If not, check that! He's a master! And well, if this counts, he won an Oscar and was nominated other times. :)

And if you also like 80's anime series, have a look at the ones I mentioned in my post!

And then tell me if you found something you fancy!

And there was one that had the word mango in the title that I can never remember...
But yea. I don't want much anime but I like everything I've seen. I've seen loads more I just really suck at movie titles.

My hubby and I watched some of the anime films on Netflix. I really enjoyed Blood+ and Demon King Damion. The others were just weird. :)

I like anime but I'm picky with it haha. I like the Movie Spirited Away. I haven't really watched any other of Hayao Miyazaki's films but I do want to. as for anime series' that I watch:
-Black Butler
-Kyo Kara Maoh
-Monster
- sailor moon (that was more when I was younger though)

I've also read the manga Pet shop of Horrors. thats a cool series. they did turn it into a show; I've seen some episodes online, but for some reason there's only 3 or 4 of them.

I loved Attack on Titan too! And those who didn't like, should at least appreciate its quality! I still have to watch Black Butler though...
