Very common. And very well known (one above all others). I'm completely flabbergasted that nobody has even said *specific species* which I would completely take as getting it.


I can provide a few hints that should absolutely give it away?

To explain the various hints:

I am aquatic:
Obvious.


I sometimes walk:
The epaulette shark will "walk" between puddles at low tide.


I could, sometimes, be called a parasite:
The cookie cutter shark could be called a parasitic species. It's very small and lives in the deep ocean. It comes to the surface at night and takes bites out of much larger animals. The scars from their bites can be found on everything from whales and dolphins, to tuna.


My skin is always sharp:
Shark skin is covered in denticles.


When I'm gone, not much is left to find:
Shark skeletons are mostly cartilaginous. The jaw bone and teeth being the exception.


As for the size of a bus...
The whale shark is around 40 feet on average!

Thank you, @DATo! I wasn't sure either. I just couldn't imagine a shark walking. My favorite is the hammerhead shark. It's hilarious! Why doesn't he swim in the direction of his sights?
