No. Not a sleeping bag either. @Lunastella.

But it's a type of bag.

No. Not a Trash bag. @Mounce574.

It's a type of bag. But the word 'bag' isn't in the answer.
And pay attention to other clues as well.

A raincoat?
Imagine if we had no secrets, no respite from the truth. What if everything was laid bare the moment, we introduced ourselves?

Not a raincoat either. @Kajol Dadhania

#1. I let you travel with ease.

#2. I make one from two.
#3. While the first part of me lets people and things rest and go,
#4. My second part covers you.

Hint: Clue #1 is about the 'bag'.

Clues #2, #3 and #4 is about something else.

The answer is same (obviously) for both.

One of those huge camping backpacks? I don't know if they're called that, but they do cover a part of the back.

Not a backpack. But it's like a suitcase. @Lunastella.
And I get what you mean by the large backpacks. But I don't know if they are called something specific. :oops2:

I was going to say "suitcase", but it didn't fulfill all the clues. :confusion-questionmarks:

This word is no longer used to refer to a bag anymore.
In fact, you probably know this word only in relation to the clues #2, 3 and 4.

Also, it's foreign in origin, mes chers amis!

Note: I edited my previous post to change 'Lunastellar' to 'Lunastella'.

This is a very good riddle. *Puts his thinking cap back on.*

As General MacArthur once said, "I shall return!"
