Thanks Luna and Kavita!!

New Riddle

I am an animal.

I am not as dangerous as people think I am, but you would do well to not make me angry with you.

I have VERY good vision which helps me to hunt.

Those who come to visit me stay much longer than they thought they would.

What am I?

@Lunastella

Not a crocodile.

It is actually much smaller than all of the animals thus far mentioned. Though very frightening to humans in appearance, and though somewhat dangerous, it is not lethal to humans, but VERY lethal to its prey.

The "great vision" clue should be considered strongly when considering the animal's appearance.

I'm guessing that specifics may be required, so...

Black widow?
