A Daughter's Cry

Post by ccranston »

Look in my eyes and you will clearly see how much I need you to take care of me.

Hold my hand and you will surely feel how much I need you to guide me still.

Listen to me and I promise you'll hear the little girl in me reaching for her daddy in fear.

I don't want to be bitter, but I've waiting so long for you to just notice me and be the father I've needed you to be.

I'm not insecure and I know we always disagree, but why is it so hard for you to just love me?

I can really feel the longing and sadness in this poem. Good job. I appreciate your courage.

I like it, connected emotionally to you as I read it. Nice work

I love it, but I wish it was longer.
I want to know more about this relationship and the father.
