Rob McRoy’s

Post by Kris5911 »

Nights at the bar are always wild
Plenty of whiskey, plenty of style
Plenty of girls and plenty of boys
Plenty of beer at Rob McRoy’s

Never a worry never a care
‘Less you eye Rob’s girl with appreciatin’ stares
Never a cuss word, never a fight
‘Less you touch McRoy’s girl, then we’ve got a night

He’s a hot tempered man, with fists on fire
Drunk one minute, the next he’s a fighter
We’ve only to whistle or give a cat call
At Rob McRoy's girl, then we’ll have a brawl

With fists all punching the cold night away
Who’s at the bar to say we’ll pay?
A whistle and a fist sets the whiskey free
Drinks are on our good friend McRoy Robbie!

So how does McRoy make his livin’
If all his friends take drinks by stealin’?
Why, he’s the good doctor of the town
And mends us all up after brawlin’ us down

McRoy, he owns the finest bar
In drunk-stupor he still can spar
If you’re not payin’ for your drink
You’re certainly payin’ in the clink

For McRoy’s the sheriff too.

Sounds like a good ballad.
