Tomorrow will be different…

Post by Mrunal Tikekar »

Merrily hugging the sunny morning
She set out bravely and courageously
Battling all odds she made through the day
They called her a hero, told how proud they were
Yet, all alone as ever
She returned home with the downing sun
Snuggling into the growing darkness
Fighting the dams of her dreamy eyes
She let herself into oblivion of another lonely night
Wishing with all her heart……
Tomorrow will be different….

I like the rise-and-fall effect of this poem

This poem has real heart to it. I like the length too. It manages to make you feel something in a few words. Good job.

"Dams of dreamy eyes" is a brilliant line. Shows how much our protagonist (you) is holding back. We're rooting for you :)

One feels like a duck, splashing around in all this wet. And when one feels like a duck, one is happy!

This poem makes me feel snuggly, if only she weren't lonely, she seems to live a pretty lovely life valued by others.
