This to shall pass

Post by Billy Bookmark »

When your ship is sailing
Upon rough seas
and you can't see the forest
because of the trees
When you feel your running
in a three legged race
and your not quite certain
you can keep up the pace
You resign yourself
to coming in last
Like all things before you
This to shall pass
When your begining to think
that you'll never win
Shake it all off
and get up again
Take a deep breath
as you rise from the ground
Your fight isn't over
till the end of the round
A wound will heal
either slowly or fast
but always remember
this to shall pass
Life isn't always
as bad as it seems
Waters get turbulent
in the best of dreams
Within each paradise
there has to be rain
The greatest of joys
can sprout from pain
Lightening will strike
and thunder will crash
Like all storms before
this to shall pass

There are a couple of spelling and grammar errors in here but other than that, it's like some of my favourite gospel songs and hymns.
"...while a book has got to be worthwhile from the point of view of the reader it's got to be worthwhile from the point of view of the writer as well." - Terry Pratchett on The Last Continent and his writing.
