Icon The LONE WOLF

Post by Foxheart »

The sky a black abyss
The stars glowing fire
The moon bright as ever
Never has it been higher

Lonely he stands
Hidden in the night
Where he walks silence follows
Under the black light

The compass of stars
Guides to the spot
The mountains high
The top he sought

The world's top he stands
Where a shadow prowls
Looking into the night
He leans back and howls

He cries for family he lost
He howls to the moon alone
He mourns the light
he longs for his own

Down the mountain he went
Back into the shadows
Other wolves echo the cry
He follows

I like it! I really feel this guy's sadness, then suddenly hope! I am hopeful for his future. Beautiful poem, thank you!
